So, Trinoc is back alive.
Total damages: one fried ASUS motherboard, one flakey and unreliable ATI Radion 9800, one dead peice Kingmax RAM (see previous post).
Replacement parts: Identical Asus board, partly used NVidia GF FX5600, and new Kingston RAM.
Sum total, just under $200 of damages.
Having my system again: VERY HAPPY.
I can play everquest again and worry about other things now.
