Classes and Classistness
So, classes are well underway. Relativly so, at least. Today is day 2 of my Tuesday classes, since no classes were held Monday. So far, all seems to be going well, though I am a tad concerned about one of my classes. I'm taking a Phil of Mind class on the topic of Action, an Educational Phil class on Pragmatism, a history of Philosophy class on Blumenberg (crazy germans), and a Phil of Science class on Quantum Field theory. I'm a tad worreid about the QFT class because my math is very weak, but we are doing heavy grade linear algebra. And while I'm far better at that than any other area of calc, I'm still worried.
The odd thing is, the prof of my Phil of Sci class is a student in my Phil Hist class. There is apparently another prof in there as well from comp lit. There is also anotehr prof in here other than those two, who I havent quite figgured out yet. The only probelm with this is that the profs tend to start off on advanced tangents based on far greater knowledge of the text and philosophy while the rest of us simply sit. And while I know I have been guilty of doing that in certian classes, never before have I had a class that is so ruled by an upward eliete. Ah well. I hope later towards the end of the semester something will cure this.
